JC Wine Cellars, established in 1998, is housed in a historic building in rural Jefferson County and has hosted guests from all over the world.

The small yet remarkable family winery continues the tradition of natural winemaking from start to finish. Each bottle is hand-crafted in the old world style.

JC Wine Cellars is also an award winning fine dining restaurant open for lunch & dinner Wednesday through Saturday 12 pm - 8 pm.  Due to the popularity of the restaurant, reservations are strongly recommended.

All of our food is of the highest quality and made with the freshest ingredients, always local when in season. These foods complement the JC Wine Cellars brand of wine as well as our extensive international wine and beer lists. 

We use Certified Angus beef which is characteristically well marbled, the key to superior flavor, tenderness and juciness.  All of our steaks are aged then hand cut and trimmed in house then perfectly grilled to your preference.  

Our seafood is the freshest, most of which is shipped within 24 hours of catch.  We use only sushi grade, whole salmon which the Chef fillets himself to ensure the freshness and quality.  All of our seafood is cooked perfectly!

We use only milk fed veal, Maple Farm duckling and the freshest chicken for our innovative dishes.  Our herbs and many of our vegetables are grown in our own garden and in our courtyard located on the property.  

We feature fresh hand-made pasta in our creative, unique pasta dishes with all sauces made to order of the best quality ingredients.  Our pasta dishes are inspired by the many regions of Italy.

All of our soups and sauces are made in our kitchen from scratch, therefore, we are well equiped to deal with any dietary restrictions upon request. 

Save room for the most decadent of desserts!  JC Wine Cellars is well known for the these incredible sweet treats which are served with beautiful presentations.

EXECUTIVE CHEF

For the last 17 years, Gary has been wowing patrons at JC Wine Cellars with his remarkable culinary abilities. He is co-owner as well as executive chef, and is passionately hands-on in all aspects of the kitchen. Gary’s love of cooking goes back decades. The extraordinary knowledge of food and technique he possesses is evident in all of his creations.

Janet Meal

CHEF DE CUISINE

Janet is both co-owner of the establishment and the “J.C.” behind the JC Wine Cellars brand. She functions not only as the chef de cuisine, but also as the winemaker for their remarkable handcrafted line of wines. Her passion for these two fields can be traced back to her grandmother, who was exceedingly skilled in both.
